(only used in impv.), go. e. astteach, ' entraos alla dentro,' 6889. e. suas, ‘ alçaos,’ 6955. Confusion with éirigh (q.v.) is apparent in the latter example (cf. éirigh suas, arise, 6597), and may also be responsible for the spellings éirgidh, 3837, eirghidh, 4611 (both = Lat. ‘ discedite’).
