(MSS. oil anúir), a phrase of uncertain meaning, 9786, 10510-12, 10525. [It is common in the poetic literature, and is usually rendered ‘grave’ or ‘memorial.’ An earlier form is oile a n-úir. Ir. Gr. Tracts II. § 3 (Supp. to Ériu). In Laws IV. 140, aile a nuir, ‘fence in earth,’ seems to denote a ‘boundary trench.’]
